You play as Rama, a young musician who’s struggling to move on after his girlfriend, Cinta, passed away. While his friends and bandmates want to help him, Rama has stayed stuck in his grief for over a year. He is ignoring his music his mental health and his relationships. To make it even harder, he hears Cinta’s voice in his head, and he’s unsure if she’s a spirit or just his imagination.

Rama’s band has an important gig in one month. He needs to get serious about his music and finish the new songs he promised or the band will move on without him.

Over twenty-eight days, your choices will shape Rama’s journey. You’ll explore the city, decide which relationships to fix, and which new ones to start. So you’ll help Rama accept his past, find his creativity again, and figure out his future.

You’ll get to explore modern Jakarta, have deep conversations with the people in your life, and even play rhythm game sections with your band.

In the game is a product of the growing Indonesian indie game scene. So it captures the feel of urban life in Jakarta, where the developers live or have lived. It also features artwork by the talented Indonesian artist Soyatu and an original soundtrack by the indie band L’Alphalpha.

Afterlove EP is the final project from Mohammad Fahmi, a respected narrative designer and developer, who passed away in March 2022 at just 32. Fahmi founded the Indonesian indie studio Pikselnesia for this project. After his death the team made a promise to complete the game and bring his vision to life. In the team is spread across Indonesia and has worked on other games like A Space for the Unbound, What Comes After and Hello Good Boy.
