The Battle of the Bulge, also known as the Ardennes Offensive, was a major military campaign fought during World War II. The arrival of reinforcements and organized resistance from the Allied forces led to a gradual reduction in the German offensive capabilities.

By the end of January 1945, the German offensive had been decisively halted. The Allies had successfully pushed back the German forces, eliminating the bulge and restoring their original front line. The Battle of the Bulge resulted in a significant loss of men and equipment for both sides, but the German losses were particularly devastating, severely depleting their remaining reserves.

Strategically, the Battle of the Bulge was a turning point in the war. It marked the last major German offensive on the Western Front and shattered any hopes of a German victory.
