Bass Defense is mix of rhythm and strategy where every beat of the music affects your survival. You need to think fast, react to the rhythm, and protect your base from waves of enemies. As the music plays, you’ll hit the right buttons to fight off enemies, known as NMYs, and save your base. So you can also use power-ups to boost your defense or offense, and customize your playstyle. In this game, NMYs want to destroy you, and they attack in rhythm with the music. You’ll need to stay focused and clear them all to save your base with the power of bass.
There are two main game modes. In Soundwave mode, your goal is to protect your base using power-ups or your sense of rhythm. Be careful not to overuse offensive power-ups, or you might lose your rhythm. You can choose your strategy and power-ups and take on enemies that get faster and harder as the difficulty increases.
In Fingerton mode, you only use one finger to clear a ton of NMYs. It’s all about speed and timing, and it’s especially tough in Hard mode, even for rhythm game experts. Both game modes feature a top-down view and different challenges with various visual styles.
There are 20 unique levels with rhythm-sensitive, destructible objects and hidden secrets. You can choose from three difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard. So as you get better, you can try harder levels to challenge your rhythm skills.
In the game includes nine power-ups, both passive and active. Passive power-ups help you survive longer or heal faster, while active ones let you use strategic moves like electric traps, turrets, bombs, and even sonic booms. So you can earn energy capsules by using power-ups, which you can then use to upgrade your gear.
Throughout the game you’ll be able to choose your strategy, test different setups, and reset upgrades between levels to improve your gameplay.
