The game has three main types of attacks normal attacks shikigami attacks and special attacks.

Normal attacks are rapid shots that cover a large area making it easier to stay safe in battle. When you fill up the Tension Bonus System (T.B.S.), your normal attacks become more powerful and faster.

Shikigami attacks are slower but let you automatically collect coins that appear during the attack.

Special attacks, or bombs, make your character invincible for a short time while you can fire as many bullets as you want.

In the Tension Bonus System (T.B.S.) is a unique feature of this game. You get a bonus when you destroy enemies while they or their bullets are close to your ship. The closer you are to hitting them, the bigger the bonus, and it can be increased up to 8 times. This makes your normal attacks stronger and makes more coins appear during shikigami attacks.

In the High Tension MAX system is new feature for those who love shooting games. When activated, it consumes one special attack but gives you a short period of invincibility. During this time, your T.B.S. will always be at its maximum, and the number of coins that appear will increase by 1.5 times.
