In this medieval fantasy RPG lets you travel through change biomes collect gear and battle enemies to reclaim land taken by corruption. Inspired by text-based MUD games, MudGate focuses on casual exploration and simple combat visuals. So it supports both single-player and multiplayer modes.
The main story takes place in Icemire, the central realm, where old doorways once connected to other realms. Now, these doorways are ruined and silent, marking the aftermath of a conflict that broke the world apart long ago. As a traveler in this broken land, your mission is to find pieces of a compass, take back corrupted lands, and fix the ancient gates.
As you explore you’ll discover hidden truths about the ancient war search for lost magic to repair the gateways and learn about the history of the realms. Per step you take helps heal the world and bring hope to Icemire or the other realms. Adventure awaits in many different areas with random events and side quests that connect your character’s journey to the world’s past. In safe zones and trading houses you can find rare items and useful knowledge to help you rebuild what was lost.
While exploring, you’ll come across sanctuaries and trading houses. Many safe places often hide quests or rare items that can be helpful for your adventure.

MudGate offers a story about you being in the middle of an ongoing conflict. The game will start telling the story on June 1, 2025. It features hundreds of handcrafted worlds with different biomes random events and encounters filled with deep lore and secrets. You can play with friends or NPC companions, and even invite a guest via a web browser, locally, or online with registered players. The world changes with day and night cycles and weather patterns that affect gameplay.
In the game also has ability trees where you can unlock and upgrade skills as you progress. It has a relaxed exploration style with simple visuals and turn-based combat that uses a d20 dice-roll system with 2-second turns. So you can build your own sanctuary as you move forward, and the game will keep updating with new content regularly. There are dungeons where you can smash gravestones, search for loot, fight dungeon bosses, and move to the next level.
How to Install MudGate?

- Wait for 15 seconds, then click on the “download” button. The download might be slower with the free plan, but you can upgrade to UploadHaven Pro for faster speeds.
- When the download is finished, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to MudGate.” Make sure you have 7-Zip installed for this. Plus you can download it from here.
- Open the folder you just extracted and run the game as an administrator.
